Rough Cut 2

For the second time we presented our rough film cuts to the rest of the class. We received positive comments on what went well and constructive criticism on what we could do to improve.
We got told that the typewriting effect we used for the titles was effective because it gave the impression of someone writing a story leading to something. Also the music we played alongside the titles added to this effect. They also mentioned that the titles worked well as they didn't get in the way of anything that was happening in the frame.
Some of the improvements to be made that our peers made clear to us were the position of the titles, we need change them so that they are not at the bottom of the screen but put them at a visible place. They also mentioned that we need to use editing to make our story clearer as it isn't very clear from the beginning.
The music also needs to be changed between some scenes because at certain parts it stopped suddenly which made it awkward for our peers.

BBFC Classification for horror movie

My group and I decided to classify our movie as 15. We chose 15 because of various reasons including, our film having explicit scenes which would be inappropriate for younger viewers. The film will also be including strong elements of violence which may cause discomfort for younger viewers and also the use of harsh weapons. This will not be appropriate for younger viewers as they may copy the characters behaviour and cause trouble. Our movie is suitable for those 15 and above that is why we have classified it as a 15 movie.
